Through a systematic study of Chinese values and patterns of behaviors, this course builds students' proficiency in cultural competence of Chinese. This course is taught in English.

This course focuses on developing listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in Chinese. The course emphasizes pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and cultural topics. Lab practice is required. (This course does not count toward a major.)

Prerequisites: (CHIN 1110 with a minimum grade of D- and CHIN 1120 with a minimum grade of D- and CHIN 2140 with a minimum grade of D-)
