OVERVIEW
A minor in Environmental Engineering enables you to broaden your career and graduate study opportunities related to analyzing and designing systems for protection of our air, water, and land resources. Consulting and industrial companies may hire non-environmental engineers to work on environmental projects. Completing this minor would give you a competitive advantage for these positions and for graduate programs involving environmental engineering or science.
You may earn a minor in Environmental Engineering by completing five required courses. For a list of these courses, consult the College of Engineering Catalog, and for additional details consult CIEN Assistant Director of Student Services, Kyle Sawyer or CIEN Undergraduate Program Director, Alex Spivak. To be eligible to register for the minor, you must be coded as an Environmental Engineering minor candidate and maintain a GPA of 2.0 or better in the courses used to satisfy the requirements of the minor. Civil Engineering students are not eligible for the Environmental Engineering minor.
