MS in Nursing: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner major is a two-year, full-time course of study with part-time options. The curriculum is designed to prepare advanced practice nurses to care for families in a wide variety of community and hospital based psychiatric settings. The curriculum features theoretically based and clinically focused courses and includes 630 contact hours for clinical practice and 120 contact hours for selective laboratory experiences. PMHNP graduates are eligible to sit for the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification corresponding to their population foci upon graduation.
