The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner major is designed to prepare advanced practice nurses to care for families in a wide variety of community and hospital based psychiatric settings. The curriculum features theoretically based and clinically focused courses and includes 780 contact hours for clinical practice. PM HNP graduates are eligible to sit for the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification corresponding to their population foci upon graduation.
