Jesup Scott Honors College
The Jesup Scott Honors College is an opportunity for students of high ability and achievement to enrich their regular program of college work. Admission is based on grades, scores on achievement tests and an essay. The College of Business and Innovation’s Honors Program is offered as part of the Jesup Scott Honors College. Students take honors courses in the Honors College, as well as in the College of Business and Innovation. Enrollment in honors courses is limited. Approximately 20 freshman students are admitted each fall to a program leading to receipt of the College of Business and Innovation honors citation upon graduation.
Program Requirements
College of Business and Innovation College Honors Program
To be eligible for the College of Business and Innovation Honors Program citation, a student must:
- Fulfill all requirements for an approved degree program within the college with a minimum overall GPA of 3.3.
- Complete a minimum of 27 hours of honors courses, which must include HON 1010, HON 2010 and HON 3010 (9 hours). The additional 18 hours of Honors coursework should be selected from the business coursework from following list of courses (subject to availability). Students may need to complete honors learning contracts to complete the necessary honors hours if honors business courses are not available.
- Completion of an Honors Project or Thesis.
