The College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (CPPS) prepares students for careers in the pharmaceutical sciences and the profession of pharmacy. Graduates pursue careers in pharmaceutical and related industries, academia, regulatory affairs, healthcare, and pharmacy practice. Pharmacists provide patient care and collaborate with other healthcare professionals across a wide range of practice settings.

The curriculum as outlined in the current catalog is subject to modifications with immediate implementation to keep pace with changing trends in pharmaceutical education and in accordance with accreditation standards. Pre-Professional and Professional division curricular requirements for the degree programs will be those listed in the catalog for the years in which the student enters the respective division. The CPPS reserves the right to change its policies and procedures at any time. These changes will be binding on the date they are approved by faculty action.

DOCTOR OF PhARMACY - pHARMACY lICENSURE pROGRAM

The Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) is the professional degree program leading to eligibility for pharmacist licensure. Students must complete two years of prerequisite coursework before applying for admission to the professional division of the CPPS. 

Pharmaceutical Sciences

The CPPS offers a four-year Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences (B.S.P.S.) degree with majors in Cosmetic Science and Formulation Design and Drug Discovery and Design. These programs prepare students for a variety of careers in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, cosmetic science, and related industries. Students complete two years of prerequisite coursework before entering the professional division of the CPPS. Following completion of the prerequisite coursework, UT pre-professional students progress to the professional division, while transfer students apply for admission.
