This course provides executives with the analytical foundations in accounting, economics, computer skills and statistical method. Students are required to complete exercises as foundations for future courses in the EMBA curriculum. Each subject is a separate track.

This course presents analytical tools and their applications to make decisions from financial managers point of view. Topics includes time value of money, risk-return trade-off, capital budgeting, and financial options.

This course emphasizes financial and managerial accounting with an emphasis on the use of that information for decision-making and analysis.

EMBA 6230 Marketing Analysis And Strategy

[3 credit hours]

This course focuses on what it means to be market‐oriented and provides individuals with a basic understanding of the practices needed to create superior customer value. Being ‘market oriented’ means the organization’s decision-making is also driven by customer information, market knowledge, competitive intelligence, an understanding of how the organization creates and delivers value, and a clear set of strategies that differentiate the organization to give it a competitive advantage.

EMBA 6250 Leadership And Performance Management

[3 credit hours]

This course is designed to provide a practical understanding of leadership in a variety of organizational settings. Topics and experiences relevant to the main functions of leadership will be discussed and practiced. Specifically, students will develop skills related to managing performance including giving and receiving critical feedback, delegation, managing time and priorities, managing conflict, having difficult conversations, amongst others. Students will assess their personal and interpersonal leadership skills and prepare an individual leadership development plan.

EMBA 6290 Strategic Management

[3 credit hours]

This is a capstone course in strategic management. Strategic Management is concerned with a) setting future direction; b) designing strategies to improve performance of organizations; and c) implementing those strategies. The internal resources, capabilities and competencies provide the basis for an organization's strategy, and the impact of external influences from the industry and competitive environment are also critical elements to be considered. The course is designed to help you integrate what you have learned in your separate functional business courses to analyze complex strategic problems and make recommendations. This course adopts a top management perspective in which the organization and its relationships with its external environment are emphasized.

This course equips students with the knowledge and skills to leverage Information Technology (IT) for strategic advantage in today's fast-paced business environment. The course focuses on the strategic/managerial IT topics, such as IT and business goal alignment, digital transformation, data analytics for decision-making, and cybersecurity risks management.

This course presents an integrated approach to value supply chain management and analyzes key challenges, practices, and trends concerning primary business functions and processes. By taking this course, students will learn about the key issues managers need to address when designing, planning, and managing global supply chains.

EMBA 6470 Global/E-Business Field Trip

[2 credit hours]

This experiential international field trip facilitates student learning of best business practices from senior executives in a variety of multinational firms and organizations across industries, and enables them to gain new insights from being immersed in foreign cultural environments.
